FAIRCHILD WINES

sigaro

sigaro originates from a spectacular property on the slopes north of Lake Hennessey, in the hills east of Saint Helena. The name Sigaro orginates from the Italian word for Cigar, referring to the smoke flavors and lingering finish of the Sigaro Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. A severely sloping, southwest facing vineyard, hand-farmed by Jim Barbour, and yielding only 1.5 ton per acre, the fruit is described as having flavors of cassis and roasted black cherry, backed up with hints of rose petal, leather, smoke, and star anise.
