beckstoffer las piedras (Las Piedras translated: THE STONES) is the newest addition to the Fairchild Estate vineyard portfolio. Las Peidras will produce one of the rarest vineyard designate wines in the Napa Valley, equal to and arguably exceeding To Kalon and Dr. Crane. The historic St. Helena vineyard, which had been in the same family since 1874, is riddled with rocks and cobbles, and mirrors the most significant vineyards of Bordeaux. The fast-draining and porous soil, combined with growing conditions that challenge the vines, results in small berries with concentrated tannins, intense fruit, and perfect structure.
