i am a native Nebraskan, one of eight children raised in a rural farming community, more familiar with cattle and crops than wine. I learned early on from my father the distinct differences between successful agricultural practices, seeing first hand fields of crops so different in quality that the only separating factor was the fence line and who was managing the fields. My pursuit of producing great wines comes from my love of agriculture, and now viticulture. As an Agricultural Economics major at the University of Nebraska, studying crop genetics and quality control has now come full circle, as I spend countless hours in the very vineyards that produce the Fairchild Estate wines. I reside in the hills of St. Helena, California along with my wife DeeDee and son Cameron.
